The Sun Potions Summer 2024 Recap
Summer is winding down. As August closes out, it feels like everyone is primed for Autumn. Even though there's technically a lot of summer in September, it has a different feel than the other summer months. We've had a rip roarin' summer here at Sun Potions so here's a recap for ya!
Sun Potions Products are now carried in 3 stores!
This is a pretty big deal for us. You can find Sun Potions at Earth Commons in Austin, TX (website); Usefull Co in Dallas, TX (website); and Renee Michael Aesthetics in Ketchikan, AK.
Sun Potions starting selling at a street market
Yep. Most Sundays you can find us at The Underground Market in the Lower Greenville neighborhood of Dallas, TX. We picked a hot time of the year to start selling at an outdoor street market but hey, the heat made people crave our sustainable mineral sunscreens, so I'll take it. The Underground Market in slightly cooler weather is something I'm definitely looking forward to.
We released three new products
We're obviously very proud of our sustainable mineral sunscreens but we're pretty proud of our new product releases and the growth we've seen this summer. Back in June, we introduced our Tallow & Beeswax Lip Balm made with grass fed & grass finished tallow, organic coconut oil, organic beeswax, and organic peppermint oil. We also released The Balm, a healing moisturizer made with grass fed & grass finished tallow, organic mango butter, organic shea butter, organic jojoba oil, organic sunflower oil, and organic beeswax. And last month we released Coffee Date which is an exfoliating coffee scrub infused with sweet almond oil, sweet orange oil, and vitamin E. We've got a few other products in the quiver that we've been testing out, so stay tuned for some new goodies this autumn/winter!
We Hand Printed T-Shirts
We decided to make Sun Potions Surf Club T-Shirts and just for kicks, decided to hand print them ourselves. What the hell even is Sun Potions Surf Club? It's a community of people that use sustainable products and love the sun & water, even if they're landlocked!
We had an incredible photo shoot & video shoot in Anna Maria Island, FL
We love living in Dallas but we miss the coast and let's be honest, the beach makes for some really nice product and lifestyle content for our brand. We called some friends, hopped on a plane, and made the magic happen! We updated all of our website photos, TikTok & Instagram shop photos, and shot a ton of content to use over the next few months.
What's next?
As we prepare to head into autumn, we're excited to create some new products, explore partnerships with other retailers for the spring/summer of 2025, and continue to grow our community. If you haven't made the switch from chemical sunscreen to mineral sunscreen, there's no time like the present!
